According to the work arrangement of school, Professor Xiong Wei has served as the dean of the Compliance Research Institute of Shenzhen University since August 10, 2023.

The Compliance Research Institute of Shenzhen University was established in May 2020, jointly built by Discipline Inspection Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Justice Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and Shenzhen University. It is the first compliance research think tank in China built with the participation of Party committee organs and government departments. The specific business is under the administration of the Law School of Shenzhen University.

Since its establishment, the Compliance Research Institute has integrated its resource advantages and made outstanding progress in academic research, political advice, social service, and talent training. It has published the "Practical Guidelines on Anti-Foreign Corruption Compliance", and set up the first "Chief Compliance Officer"LLM program in China, which has won wide social recognition.
