On the afternoon of May 12, 2023, Lawyer Xiang Shuxian, Director of the Management Committee of Beijing DaoKeTe (Shenzhen) Law Firm and recipient of the "Shenzhen Outstanding Female Lawyer" award in 2022, visited the Law School accompanied by her assistant, Chen Huizhi. They engaged in a discussion with recipients of the "Xiang Shuxian Scholarship for Ethics and Law" at the 417 Minglv Building on the Lihu Campus. Secretary Ma Wenze, Deputy Secretary Ye Xing, Associate Professors Qi Lijie and Lv Chenglong, as well as Teacher Li Yingying, attended the symposium.

Deputy Secretary Ye Xing extended a warm welcome to Lawyer Xiang Shuxian and her delegation on behalf of the Law School, expressing gratitude for her support and care towards the students.

Hu Jili, a Master of Law from Grade 21, spoke as the representative of the scholarship recipients. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Lawyer Xiang Shuxian on behalf of all the sponsored students and shared personal experiences, academic achievements, and future aspirations. He pledged to emulate Lawyer Xiang as a role model and earnestly pursue "moral and legal cultivation," striving to contribute to the party, the country, and Shenzhen University, while also expressing gratitude to Xiang for her support and encouragement.

Ms. Xiang Shuxian, the donor, delivered a speech expressing her joy in visiting the dynamic and youthful Shenzhen University. She explained the purpose behind establishing the "Xiang Shuxian Scholarship for Ethics and Law," hoping to instill hope in the students and encouraging them to be guiding lights for others.

Associate Professor Qi Lijie shared insights from his experiences as a practicing lawyer, urging students to bravely explore legal work opportunities. He commended Lawyer Xiang's dedication to societal contributions and encouraged students to learn from exemplary individuals like her.

Associate Professor Lv Chenglong expressed gratitude to Ms. Xiang for her generosity and discussed the significance of the scholarship, emphasizing the importance of students' dedication to their studies. He advised students to utilize the scholarship to focus on meaningful endeavors and become beacons for their own paths.

During the Q&A session, students actively interacted with Ms. Xiang, seeking advice on various aspects of their academic and professional lives. Ms. Xiang patiently addressed their queries, earning admiration and applause from the students.

As the symposium concluded, Secretary Ma praised Ms. Xiang's support for the Law School students and emphasized the importance of establishing a platform for communication between donors and recipients. He encouraged students to embody Ms. Xiang's expectations, express gratitude, study diligently, and contribute positively to society.
