The Law School of Shenzhen University (SZU) held the 2024 Spring Symposium for Retired Faculty in the Minglv Building, Room 418 on January 15, 2024. The event invited six retired faculty members—Deng Jianxu, Li Guohui, Zhang Qingyun, Dong Likun, Ma Hongxiang, and Zhang Jianbin—to gather on campus and reminisce with faculty and alumni while looking forward to the future. The symposium was chaired by Lin Jilin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SZU.

Ma Wenze, Party Secretary of SZU, delivered a speech, fondly recalling the wonderful memories of his students days with the teachers and expressing heartfelt gratitude for their care and support. He emphasized that the achievements of the Law School over the past decades are inseparable from the hard work and dedication of these teachers.

Dean Xiong Wei delivered an address highlighting the Law School's developmental milestones and future strategies. He expressed sincere respect to the retired faculty members and offered warm wishes for the upcoming Chinese New Year.

Afterward, the retired faculty members engaged in dialogue with the attending school leaders and alumni representatives. This affectionate spring symposium brought together school leaders, retired faculty, current faculty, and alumni, allowing everyone to express their respect and gratitude for the retirees' decades of dedicated work and selfless contribution. They also extended an open invitation for the retired faculty to come back home frequently. Finally, the school leaders presented the retired faculty with commemorative gifts and flowers.
